Skype have just announced a new 'Connection Fee' for SkypeOut customers, every call made regardless of how long it is will attract a 3.3 pence connection fee. Previously a very short call would cost UK skyper's around 1 pence. Businesses that are using Skype to make outbound marketing calls will feel this price rise quite sharply. We could find no explanation why the fee has been added on the Skype website.
